WHAT ARE THE PRICES	One Guest Second Guest Less Than One Week Summer (June 10 - Sept 30): $55/nite* ; $330/week Most of the year: $50/nite*; $300/week; $1000/month - seldom granted. Certain Holidays: $65/nite Space is guaranteed only upon receiving deposit or prepayment. You are charged for the night if you are booked for any part of it, including any arrival between midnight and 7am. * See at right for less than 3 nights. Additional $20/night (Sharing the Double Bed) We do not always accept two guests. Minimum 2 night charge applies. (We may be able to offer another place to stay, instead.)
Check-in / Check-out	You must arrange with us to check in before 5:00pm if you arrive on a weekday. There are also inexpensive baggage lockers at Grand Central Station and Penn Station. -- If possible, try to arrive after 6:00pm. Checkout after 10:00am may be an extra $5.00 per hour or fraction.
House Rules	- Please, no street shoes in the house. There is a place to sit to remove shoes inside the door. - Please plan your day to be mostly out from 9:30am to 4:30pm. You WILL have a key, but we are not set up for you to use the apartment as an office. - No heavy cooking. Feel free to bring in take-out food, or to make tea/coffee (provided). You may drink Juice - Milk - Soda found in the refrigerator.
What's INCLUDED?	At quoted prices we include Kitchen access for breakfast (you prepare, we supply food), Sheets & Towels changed weekly. FREE email access. (LIMIT: 15 minutes/night. Extra time: 10 cents/minute - locking screensaver used). No limit on your own laptop, by wireless or cable LAN. We have a line for your connection (local). Discount coupons for some theater and musical productions, as available.
What's EXTRA?	We can arrange, at EXTRA charge: Show tickets School Courses Dance Center Classes Restaurant Reservations Telephone Prepaid Calling Cards (USA/International) Airline Tickets Cell Phone with prepaid usage (Deposit $150 in cash) Temporary (on loan) Beeper, $10/week or $2/day (Arange in advance, deposit $40) We need advanced NOTICE for these services, and we may add service fees for making reservations. (*See Note at bottom).
If I cancel, after booking, do you charge me?	If less than two weeks ahead, we do. We have only one guest space, and after we get your deposit or reservation we won't take anyone else. We respect your reservation, so please understand our situation and respect us. We lose income if you cancel on short notice. Fee for cancellation within two weeks before arrival is one night's cost. Within one week, the fee is two night's cost. Any balance for the booking must be paid upon arrival in cash or travellers checks. After arrival, refunds of unused balance can be made, but minus one week's cost. (If you are cancelling less than 8 remaining days of your stay, there is no refund after arrival.) If you received any discount, your stay will be recomputed at full rate before any cancellation discount is allowed.
Can I call overseas?	Yes, but limited phone use, please. We have multiple lines. We ask small fees for overseas calls, depending on country. You can also buy phone cards at many locations.
How can I be sure that you are honest and the place is ok?	Fortunately, we've seldom had problems between our guests and ourselves. If you would like references from people who have stayed here, this is a list of email links to a few of our wonderful ex-roomrenters' (I could say new friends). We have permission from each of them. All of them stayed with us BEFORE we moved across the river to Jersey City (four miles away). How can I pay?	The deposit required is 30% of your stay (or at least two nights). No reservations will be made without a deposit. Balance paid to us on day of arrival in cash, traveler's or bank checks. We prefer money orders (from the post office) for your deposit, or payment by credit card is available for your convenience at this page: Deposit via Credit Card We do NOT accept credit cards any other way (such as in person). Western Union or MoneyGram(may cost less) can be used if time is short and the other less expensive methods are not available to you. * Note: We have seen agents add up to 300% EXTRA in fees to room and show ticket prices, paid to them overseas (your country) before the traveller leaves for New York. We add (only for EXTRA services) Zero to 30% - not 100% to 300%. Be CAREFUL who you trust!!
